Listening to The School of Greatness Podcast, Jim Kwik was interviewed by Lweis Showes, the way Jim spoke about his book Limitless made me wish to read it as soon as possible. As I’m an avid learner, his book was everything that I needed.

Limitless by Jim Kick is a book written for people who want to unleash its inner power of learning, who want to get rid of any preconception about lacking the ability to learn. It’s a complete guide full of methods, tips, and techniques about learning how to learn.

I learned new things like the primacy and recency of the Pomodoro technique, I was used to the Pomodoro technique, however, in my mind it was more for keeping concentrated on one task at a time, not about fixing the content in mind. The Pomodoro technique consists of setting up a timer for 25 minutes, after that you give yourself a brief pause, then set up another 25 minutes, and so on. This action of starting and finishing is called primacy and recency. It means that you remember more when you start and finish reading.

And I was reminded of other things like SMART goals. It’s an acronym which S stands for Specific (be specific about what you want to), M for Measurable (set number for your goals), A for Actionable (set directions), R for Realistic (be brutally honest while you plan your goals), and T for time-based (set up a time will make your goal actionable.)

I enjoy reading this book, even though I could it could be 30% shorter. Its beginning and ending are redundant. In the beginning, around 10% is famous people praising the book. In the end, it’s about 20% of reviewing. But it doesn’t make it a bad book, just a long-winded one.

If you are the type of person who wants to get the most of what you read, watch, and learn in your day-to-day life, this book is for you.
