You know when you want something so much with every fiber of your being, and you believe that your life will be better off when you get it? Be careful, chances are it will come true.

There’s a fine line that we must perceive. Ask yourself: is it worth it? (cost-benefit relation); Will it change my life for the better? Is it a substantial desire or a whim? What are the implications? Would you really change to make it happen?

Sometimes when things go south the signs of the disasters are always there, but it’s much better to turn a blind eye and oversee what is in front of us. In the end, can I complain? Am I a victim? No, it was the fruits of my “dreams.”

For example, when you’re a wannabe businessman, you want success (read: power, and money.) But for what? For the sake of it? All this success comes with embedded obligations, responsibilities, and frustrations.

Another example, when you’re a content creator, for fun. You don’t live off your creations. But somehow, as you’re making content, investing time, energy, and money (even though a little), you are eager to be recognized, to get many pageviews and followers. The million-dollar question is: for what? Some accomplishments come with the increase of time-consuming, and accountabilities.

My point is: many times I catch myself dreaming about the sweetest dreams, but am I really aware of all the implications they might bring? Do I know what outcomes and setbacks will be waiting for me? No, I’m not. I’ve had a couple of bad experiences that I wouldn’t repeat. Is it regret? No, it’s a warning: be careful with what you wish for.

Have you ever wished something then you preferred do not wish it? Please let me a comment below. I’d love to hear from you.

Thank you for reading.

See you next time.
